This subject had been popping up on my homepage quite often and thought of listing down some tips that would be helpful for freshers.

The Covid-19 pandemic has been hard for everyone but the recent grads have been unfairly affected by the uncertainties. From companies putting a halt on hiring to offers being rescinded, freshers have faced it all. Despite all this, as economies are now opening up, many grads have entered the workforce looking to strive in the corporate world.

With the switch to remote, soft skills are becoming increasingly vital for surviving in the professional world. These are some of the tips that are recommended for a successful career.

πŸ’¬ Communicate effectively
Develop strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Listen keenly and grasp what’s needed. Keep a note of all the essential points in discussions. Also, establish a good routine for sharing information on digital platforms.

✍ Be open to learning
Learning ensures that you grow as a professional. Keep adding new skills and upgrading old ones by taking courses to accelerate your career progression. Attend seminars and workshops related to your field of work and volunteer for taking up new responsibilities at your workplace. Finally, treat each day as a learning experience and strive to improve 1% each day.

πŸ’‘ Come up with your own solutions to a problem
Think out of the box and come up with innovative solutions when you are facing a problem. Never let go of an opportunity to provide value to your company. This will show your genuine dedication towards solving a real problem and help you stand out at work.

What do you think about these tips? Feel free to add more :)
