- Notion, valued in private markets at ~$2 billion, has made its first large acquisition of India's Automate.io. Automate.io is a popular no-code tool, particularly among startups, that builds integrations with 200+ apps.
- Notion has a massive, loyal following and hence, has seen a ton of feature requests and also because Notion app is widely available across platforms. By acquiring Automate.io, Notion intends to partially fill the gap by giving users the ability to bring their existing workflows into Notion.
- Additionally, it also enables Notion to set up an engineering center in India, which will be its first outside the US.
