Use game dynamics to beat Zoom fatigue and run better remote meetings & events - How can you keep a remote team engaged and connected when everybody is already overloaded with video calls? If...
If you're running a remote team and want to keep them from getting maxed out from yet another zoom call, you should use game dynamics. I've been practicing this with my own remote teams, and events that I do online, and it *truly* works.
There are three specific dynamics you can use, whether you're in, or running, a video call meeting or online event:
1. Rules - Adding rules & structure will create a space that's safe and easily navigable for people to interact and engage.
2. Rewards - Reward people on your call for speaking up / participating. Calling out specific people / giving thumbs ups / sending positive chats are good examples.
3. Serendipity - Add fun, humor, and excitement. There's tons of ways to do this.
I'm running a free event to give actionable ways these work and tips for how to use them in your actual meetings, feel free to join me!
