I started working remotely in 1990. I've done so off and on ever since.
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
Self-discipline is vital for maintaining your focus without falling into the many distractions available to you. The way you set up your work space to nurture that focus is also important. Self-sufficiency certainly helps - if you rely on others for direction you're going to have trouble.

The wisdom gained from 30 years of working remotely (off and on - I have been in an office from time to time). I've also worked for huge corporations (including Apple) and startups like my current employer, so I understand differing points of view and different industries.

I don't know yet. I'm not sure of its focus other than remote workers. It would be good to expand my network, learn new skills, and hear from people with differing points of view.
