Remote Work Experience
I have been a remote worker (freelance) for 13 years (full-time for 8).
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
- I believe the more times you try and the more people you reach out to, the more chances you have of finding that great new client (if you are a freelancer and don't work for just one specific company). - Backup your work and have all the necessary cables and gadgets always at hand and make sure they are always working. - Give yourself time to feel if and how remote work works for you and take time for recreation :)
Here's how I plan to contribute to The Remote Clan
I hope to be able to give good advice from those starting out as remote workers and creating/having good ideas along with them. Hopefully I'll have experiences to contribute that might push people in a good direction or prevent them from going in a not so good one.
Here's what I want to gain from The Remote Clan
Insights on the current state of remote work, networking with like-minded people, knowing about new tools that help remote workers, and getting good ideas to make remote-working life smoother!
These are the 2 best topics to start off a conversation with me
Travel, different cultures, animals.
