Remote Work Experience
Just for the past year because of the pandemic. Before then, it would be a day here or there, one time a little over a week when there was a problematic co-worker. I have worked at some jobs where being remote would be problematic, I am fortunate to be in a situation right now where it is more feasible.
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
This is probably just me, but feeling connected to the team you are working with. Finding ways to avoid distractions that can easily pop up in remote work. And trying to find ways to build relationships; while I am a fairly solitary person I feel more comfortable at work around people, in a group of people.
Here's how I plan to contribute to The Remote Clan
As of right now I am not sure. I guess the first step would be to see what the community is about and if I fell like I have stuff to add.
Here's what I want to gain from The Remote Clan
The first part will be listening and learning. I have been remote since the COVID-19 restrictions took effect in the US. I find both good and bad to remote work like this. Maybe community, if possible.
These are the 2 best topics to start off a conversation with me
