Remote Work Experience
I have worked remotely on and off. For some time, back in 2014, I was freelancing and taking up remote projects. During the first half of 2019, I was working as a remote co-founder.
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
1. Communication - Absolute must. Over-communicate if need be. 2. Self motivated - There's minimal supervision or micro-management in a remote setting. So, being a self-starter is a must. 3. Having a hobby or passion outside of work - Again, super important given you have minimal human interaction when you work remotely.
Here's how I plan to contribute to The Remote Clan
I read quite a bit about remote work and have written a lot as well. I am hoping some of my knowledge/ experience proves helpful to the community. I also talk to a lot of founders and remote workers and I am sure I will be able to share some of their experiences or even jobs in their companies.
Here's what I want to gain from The Remote Clan
Getting to know people who work remotely and are passionate about it is the #1 thing I am looking forward to. Also curious to read about tools, tips, practices people use regularly in a remote setting.
These are the 2 best topics to start off a conversation with me
