Remote Work Experience
No full remote job experience, But have worked remotely while working at Xola on and off. It was distributed team we used Slackbot for standup, zoom calls for showcases and feature kick offs.It really have me learned the basic things because culture was good and people were good.
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
In my limited experience at multiple places I have realised that people and culture really plays pivotal role in enabling this fundamentally with proper remote communication tool and empathy towards when there is a network failure :)
My Remote Tools Stack
Slack, Meetup, github code reviews, screen recording Nimbus. JIRA or similar tool. Definitely good internet with backup internet.
Here's how I plan to contribute to The Remote Clan
I would contribute by writing articles, tutorials, sample projects to get started on techs and handling remote jobs. Mentoring and training is something I would aim for. Will host virtual only meetup and Hackathon for people to move in to remote zone.
Here's what I want to gain from The Remote Clan
I am looking for full time remote job, I would like to see how can I achieve that with the help of the community. Learning from community experience to fasten the process and required tools.
These are the 2 best topics to start off a conversation with me
