I've been managing remote teams for the last 25 years; often globally.
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
1. Treating everyone the same, whether co-located or remote. 2. Frequency of communication is a must to ensure that the team stays connected. 3. Continually explore new tools to aid in collaboration, as new and better tools are coming online all the time.
