Remote Work Experience
I'm an 'unintentional' Digital Nomad and the Originator of Digital Nomads Beyond 50. I left Texas in March 2020 to launch my nomad travel life with a 6 Countries x 6 Months itinerary and the plan to rinse-repeat in 2021 on forward. Due to the pandemic, instead of returning to the states September-January for my work season, I stayed in Ecuador and pivoted my Medicare + Health Insurance business to remote work/travel. Now that I have experienced that opportunity, I'm happy to continue being a Digital Nomad year-round! DNB50 is a global resource and social network for those who currently travel/work remote, are planning to, or are curious about this life. DNB50 aspires to inform and inspire those in their late 40's+ to live location independent. "You don't need to MOVE abroad to LIVE abroad; expand your options!" - DNB50
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
• Flexibility to deal with opportunities and challenged • Focus and Self-discipline • Spirit to enjoy the adventure • Ability to travel with limited baggage; not just luggage... also limited debt and preconceptions.
Here's how I plan to contribute to The Remote Clan
Although I've travel 30+ countries, I'm 'green' in Digital Nomad experience AND older than the typical DN. I hope to contribute my business acumen and openness to collaboration.
Here's what I want to gain from The Remote Clan
I'm really looking forward to the camaraderie of the community; sharing information, tips/hacks in regards to travel and work. I'm also interested in learning which remote work tools will increase my productivity.
These are the 2 best topics to start off a conversation with me
• How to pivot your business to remote. • Later-Life adults choosing the digital nomad work-life over full retirement or a static location move abroad.
